SimCorp helps WTW achieve 35% increase in portfolio management capacity

Paul Martin, Chief Investments Operating Officer at WTW Investments, a global investment manager, describes their operating model evolution from advisory consultant to managing portfolios on behalf of clients alongside their technology transformation. Their rapid growth, created new complexities and they chose SimCorp’s integrated investment platform (now called SimCorp One) to provide them with a centralized IBOR for an end to end streamlined investment process from the front office to client reporting. This has enabled them to scale their business, reduce risk and empower their employees to spend more time on value added tasks with the efficiencies they gained.

Front office users now manage 3.7 portfolios per person, that’s an increase of around 35% in 12 months. That's a real benefit to us. It also extends into our Client Reporting. We now have 140 reports produced for our UK and Canadian clients. We're hoping to add the US to that this year, that's a 100% increase in 12 months.

Since implementing SimCorp, we've had some fantastic success and we've seen a lot of efficiencies. We have around 400 portfolios now on the system. That's an increase of 80% in the last 12 months. We can now seamlessly move into other markets.
